Five experienced musicians share their love for the new wave and (post) punk of the late 70s and beyond in The Hague band Transmission. For the audience live performances are a feast of recognition: "As if I am 17 years-old again and enjoy the youth club, thank you for your performance, guys from Transmission!"
With tight rhythms, melodic guitar and keys and singing that touches you, Transmission is seen as the instigator of a new movement: the now wave movement. The live band from The Hague is successfully reviving 80's new wave classics. And they make contemporary, new wave-influenced songs into classics. As they themselves state: "From a young age we have become addicted to new wave and we love that there are new bands that continue the tradition of 'our' alternative music from the 80's. New wave, cold wave, darkwave, post-punk, Editors, Franz Ferdinand, etc .: Now wave is the logical collective name for a musical style that appeals to many generations.
