Tim Bowness & Anneke van Giersbergen

Tim Bowness is a pioneer in the progressive rock genre. Together with Steven Wilson he founded the successful no-man project. In addition, Tim collaborated with such greats as Robert Fripp, Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine) and Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera. Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering, VUUR) is seen as one of the best female singers in the Netherlands. She has built a successful solo career over the years. Anneke worked with Devin Townsend, Anathema, Árstíðir, Within Temptation and Arjen Lucassen.
Under the name no-man, Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson released no less than six albums from 1992 to 2008. Tim now has four solo albums to his name. He has a characteristic style and gets his inspiration from the heyday of symphonic rock. His latest album "Songs From The Ghost Light" (2017) received rave reviews, some even made comparisons with Genesis. During this double concert, Tim Bowness and his band play an interesting selection from his extensive oeuvre. Besides Tim Bowness, the band consists of guitarist Mike Bearpark, keyboard player Stephen Bennet, violinist Steve Bingham, drummer Andrew Booker and bassist John Jowitt (ex-IQ). Anneke van Giersbergen gained fame in the nineties as a singer for The Gathering. She has now built a solid track record, with her new band VUUR Anneke proves that she still belongs to the top of the metal scene. Expect a selection from her impressive repertoire during this solo performance.
