Whiskey smoked rock! These Wicked Rivers is the new wave of rock 'n' roll that is sweeping through the United Kingdom and is now visiting the Netherlands. The band is influenced by rock legends and blues greats such as Black Stone Cherry and Rival Sons. Their live performances are bursting with raw energy, flooring the audience at many a stage and festival. Their new album Force of Nature will be released on March 1.
Since their formation in 2014, they have been making quite an impact with their unique, blues-infused modern rock. Guitarist Arran Day about their sound: “We're heavy and quite southern-sounding. I always wanted to bring back the roots of the late 1960s and 1970s music, while retaining a heavy rock edge.” Classic Rock Magazine describes it as follows: “The sound of what might've happened if Clutch got a bit stoned with Audioslave and Zakk Wylde – and then jammed late into the night”.
