The Zombies

The classical line-up of The Zombies will perform an exclusive concert at the Stadstheater in Zoetermeer on July 28th. Pop milestone "Odessey and Oracle" (50-year anniversary) will be performed in its entirety. Under the name BIS (Boerderij in Stadstheater), Cultuurpodium Boerderij occasionally presents special concerts in an all-seated setting.
In the sixties, the British group The Zombies had huge hits with the original version of 'She's Not There' (later covered by Santana), 'Tell Her No' and 'Time Of The Season'. The latter came from a lesser successful LP at the time, only years later deemed to be one of the best albums of the decade: "Odessey and Oracle" (release date April 1968). The line-up at the time, minus guitarist Paul Atkinson, who passed away in 2004, has been touring America since the spring of 2017 with an integral performance of this masterpiece. The remaining members are singer Colin Blunstone, keyboard player Rod Argent, bassist Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy. During this show the band will consist of singer Colin Blunstone, keyboardist Rod Argent, guitarist Tom Toomey, bassist Soren Koch and drummer Steve Rodford. Original members bassist Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy will support the band together with Darian Sahanaja (Brian Wilson Band) and Vivienne Boucherat during the "Odessey and Oracle" album set.
