Textures

Textures quits! The Dutch progressive metal band is seen worldwide as 'ancestor' of contemporary metal genres such as 'mathmetal' and 'djent'. Textures shared the stage with bands like Slipknot, Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth, Sepultura, Meshuggah and Rammstein. During their "Last Miles To The Moon Tour", they say goodbye to their loyal fans.
Back in 2003, Textures started with a still unknown concept: the sextet completely bypassed the demo stage and launches its debut album "Polars" in-house, thus becoming the first Dutch DIY band: management, artwork, video clips and an album recorded in a self-made studio; everything controlled by the band members themselves. With pride, the band receives the Essent Award for most promising talent in 2004. In 2006, Textures took to the road with the, currently world class, French band Gojira in tow for their first shows abroad. After having released three albums on the French Listenable Records (including the widely acclaimed third album "Silhouettes"), Textures, with its fourth album "Dualism" (2011) and fifth "Phenotype" (2016), promotes to the European league of metalbands, upon signing with the world's largest metal label: Nuclear Blast.
