Steve Hackett (Sold Out)

Steve Hackett will return to Cultuurpodium Boerderij for two concerts during his Genesis Revisited Tour 2019. During this tour, the albums "Selling England By The Pound" from Genesis and his solo album "Spectral Mornings", which was released 40 years ago, will be featured. Also highlights from his new album will not be missing.
Steve Hackett is known as a very talented and innovative guitarist. He was the lead guitarist of Genesis in the classical line-up with Mike Rutherford, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Phil Collins. In his time with Genesis he was responsible for a number of characteristic highlights in the band's repertoire: the acoustic guitar pieces in Horizons and Blood On The Rooftops and the dramatic rock-guitar solos in Firth Of Fifth and Fountain Of Salmacis. During his solo career, he developed his own style and technique. In addition, with Steve Howe he formed the supergroup GTR, which was very successful in America and he worked with well-known musicians such as John Wetton, Paul Carrack, Chris Squire and Brian May. The induction of Genesis in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is the ultimate recognition of the timeless quality of their music. Steve Hackett has been honouring the legacy of the classical music of Genesis for years with his "Genesis Revisited" albums I and II and his performances in recent years. The new Steve Hackett solo album will be released early 2019.
