Steve Rothery Band
The headliner of the festival is Steve Rothery, the guitarist and founder of the British prog rock pioneers Marillion. He is one of the most appreciated guitarists in the progressive rock scene. His strong and recognizable guitar sound is of unprecedented level. In 2014, he released his first solo album, "The Ghosts of Pripyat". The album, dominated by guitar music, received promising reviews.

Focus
With their unique brand of progressive rock, Focus manifested themselves at the start of the 70s as one of the most succesful Dutch progressive rock exports. Fronted by founding member Thijs van Leer the band is still going strong.

Downriver Dead Men Go
The genre of Prog Rock seems to be the exclusive playing ground of Steven Wilson (and his various bands) and bands that are signed on the Kscope recording label, such as Pineapple Thief and Anathema. Yet, in the Netherlands a number of bands adhere to this genre as well, such as Downriver Dead Men Go. Their album "Tides" (2015) is a collection of stunning melodies that, if you would like to make a comparison, comes close to Nosound (one of Steven Wilson's pet projects). Languid, with sometimes an acceleration, dreamy, and highbrowed in the positive sense of the word. A musical fulcrum that is carefully structured and worked out. In particular, the moving Never Change, with minimalistic piano melodies, brings out the best of the band. Downriver Dead Men Go restates the Netherlands as an important prog rock country. Kaprekar's Constant
The progressive rock band Kaprekar's Constant hails from Kent. Multi-instrumentalists Al Nicholson and Nick Jefferson form the heart of the band. Supplemented by David Jackson (Van der Graaf Generator), his daughter Dorie Jackson and former Level 42 drummer Phil Gould, this is a special collective. The band released its debut album "Fate Outsmarts Desire" in spring 2017, a real gem. The album is characterized by epic arrangements in the style of Big Big Train and Genesis.
Progdreams VII (day 3)
For the seventh consecutive year, Cultuurpodium De Boerderij presents the Progdreams festival. This year we once again managed to provide you with an interesting line-up. In addition to day-tickets we also have passe-partouts on sale for two or three days via Ticketmaster.
On Sunday, Steve Rothery Band, Focus, Downriver Dead Men Go and Kaprekar's Constant will perform for you. Due to extreme bad weather in the UK, Tim Bownes and Lifesigns canceled their gigs at Progdreams VII. We are happy that Focus and Downriver Dead Men Go are able to replace them.
