The Canadian French speaking province of Quebec has always been partial to the progressive rock genre. Who knows for sure, but it should not be surprising to see most of Canada’s progressive rock bands hail from Quebec. One of those bands is Mystery. The was founded by multi-instrumentalist, producer and writer Michel St-Père, who was 17 at the time, working as a sound engineer in a recording studio. Raised on a musical diet of rock music it wasn’t long before the band Rush captured his attention quickly followed by the music of Yes and Genesis. This eclectic musical stew would forever influence his future musical direction. DVD recordings during this more than 2 hour concert. Only show in Europe!

District 97

District 97 is undoubtedly the most musically adventurous rock band in the world to feature American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist Leslie Hunt. The band was formed in the fall of 2006. The release of 2012’s critically-acclaimed Trouble With Machines ushered in an exciting era for the Chicago-based Progressive Rock band; In 2013, the band toured both Europe and the US with legendary bassist and vocalist John Wetton (King Crimson/UK/Asia. 2013 also saw the band nominated for a Breakthrough Artist Award by Prog Magazine. Rather than rest on their laurels, District 97 took to the studio in 2014 to record the new material they’d been honing at home and on the road. The resulting album, In Vaults (2015), continues and accelerates the upward trajectory of great songwriting and incredible musicianship that’s been evident since the band’s 2010 debut, Hybrid Child.

Karfagen is a Symphonic/ Progressive Rock project from Ukraine by Antony Kalugin. Karfagen – (means Karthago) a symbol of glory and wisdom and it is also a never-ending journey into the world of the forgotten past and un-predictable future. The name Karfagen was first heard in 1997 when Antony Kalugin formed the band at school. From 2003 – 2005 Antony composed and performed on more than 40 albums, that were released in Russia and Ukraine.

Sunchild is also a project of Antony Kalugin. “Synesthesia”, the sixth album of Sunchild is an album full of great melodies and vocals. The vocals on this album are very important. The music has often some pop influences so that the music is interesting for a broad audience.

Neo Prophet

Neo Prophet was formed in 2005 by four experienced Belgian rock musicians Their varied blend of ‘Classic & Progressive meets Sympho’ – Rock was first heard on the demo ‘The Feeble mindedness of the Inept and the Ignorant’. Their first full album “Monsters” (2009) was produced, mixed and mastered by the equally famous Frank van Bogaert and highly acclaimed by fans and press. After a few changes in the line up Pieter van den Broeck, aka ‘Pete Mush’ (Quantum Fantay), keyboard player and producer in his own Mushroomland studio in Lokeren is happy and eager to fill up the vacancy behind the keys and on backing vocals. Tom Tas, guitar animal and well known by Pete, is excited to join the band on guitars in 2012. In 2013 they start writing the album ‘TIME’, a semi-concept album. This album was released in 2015.
