PFM

PFM (Premiata Forneria Marconi) has been one of the most successful symphonic rock bands from Italy for more than four decades and the only Italian band ever to reach the US Billboard charts. The band was founded in 1970 and recorded no less than five albums with English lyrics, in close cooperation with famous lyrics writer Pete Sinfield (King Crimson/Emerson, Lake & Palmer), between 1973 and 1977. Premiata Forneria Marconi, the name stands for Award-winning Marconi Bakery, introduced the synthesizer to the Italian prog world and quickly gained international fame.
PFM combines symphonic elements with traditional Italian musical influences put into a progressive rock context. During their debut tour in 1971 the band was able to show its capabilities in front of large audiences in support of Yes. Then things started to move fast for the band career wise. They opened for Deep Purple, got signed to Manticore Records (ELP label) thus building the band a loyal fan base over a short period of time. They continued to record and perform during more recent years and still manage to captivate audiences throughout the world. After their impressive show in 2016, we are pleased to announce that the band, led by founder and vocalist/drummer Franz Di Cioccio, will return to De Boerderij. In addition to Di Cioccio the band consists of bassist Patrick Djivas, violinist Lucio Fabbri, keyboardist Alessandro Scaglione, drummer Roberto Gualdi, guitarist Marco Sfogli and singer/keyboardist Alberto Bravin. In October, PFM will release a new studio album, "Emotional Tattoos".
