Pendragon is one of the pioneers of the progressive rock genre. The British band was founded in 1978 by Nick Barrett. The band's style comes closest to Genesis and Marillion in their Fish period.
Pendragon is a big name in the world of neo-prog. In 1985 the band finally put itself on the map with the album The Jewel. Since then, the band has managed to captivate their audience with consistently strong albums. Guitarist and founder Nick Barrett has developed into a great guitarist with a sound that comes close to David Gilmour. In addition to Nick, the band consists of keyboard player Clive Nolan (Arena, Shadowland, Caamora), drummer Jan Vincent Velazco and bassist Peter Gee.
