Pendragon is one of the pioneers of the progressive rock genre. This fall they will release a new album which will be presented on March 7 at the Boerderij!
The band was founded in 1978 by Nick Barrett. Comparisons with Genesis and Marillion were quickly made. Pendragon is a big name in the world of progressive rock. With the album “The Jewel” (1991) the band put themselves firmly on the map. In addition to founder Nick Barrett, the band consists of keyboard player Clive Nolan (Arena, Shadowland, Caamora), drummer Jan Vincent Velazco and bass player Peter Gee.
Davey Dodds, described by Fantasy Forest Festival this year as ‘The master of Celtic rock’n’reel’ is a songwriter of some renown. Davey has an interesting musical history. Once upon a time, he was the front man of the quintessentially English prog rock band Red Jasper, who topped the bill at The European Symphonic Rock Festival, at The Noorderligt in Holland in 1994. In those far off days, he also played as an acoustic support act for Fish in Holland. A new solo album is almost complete and he’s playing main stage slots at big festivals.
