Orgel Vreten

Orgel Vreten (Organ Eating) is known as an initiative that started in 2012, as a one-off organ battle between two titans, Thijs Schrijnemakers and Robin Piso (DeWolff). It grew into a successful musical collective that built up a solid support base through the festivals of Oerol, Lowlands and Paaspop and several theatre- and club tours. After the departure of Robin Piso in 2014, Orgel Vreten and Thijs Schrijnemaker were one and the same for a while, but in the year 2018, with the arrival of Darius Timmer, Orgel Vreten has once again become a real band with a solid line-up.
Orgel Vreten is known as a live band par excellence. After a period of 5 years of uninterrupted performing at festivals, clubs, on radio and TV and in theatres, the band deliberately stepped out of the spotlight to work in relative peace and quiet on "De Man en zijn Machine" (Man and his Machine). The period that follows is one of reflection. Orgel Vreten had to return to its roots, the battle on Hammond organ. Challenging, screaming, taking punches, in short: playing together, the interplay, that is the foundation of this band.
