Guitarist Martin Barre is an unique musician. For 40 years he was one of the members of the legendary British progressive folk rock band Jethro Tull.
He started his musical career as a saxophone player and flautist in various jazz bands, and before he joined Jethro Tull he also was the guitar player for the band Gethsemane. In 1968 Gethsemane opened for Jethro Tull, and a year later he was the new Jethro Tull guitarist.
