Manfred Mann's Earth Band

Manfred Mann's Earth Band

Who hasn’t heard of songs like Blinded by the Light and Davy's on the Road Again? Hits from the 70s that are still in today’s Top 2000. Manfred Mann was already successful in the 1960s, but things really took off after he founded Manfred Mann's Earth Band in '71.

This is also the case in the Netherlands; in 1977 they were the main act at the Pinkpop Festival. And since then they have continued to successfully albums and perform live. Manfred Mann is not thinking about quitting as long as people still want to hear his music. And it’s a sure bet: every time he and his band play at the Boerderij, he finds himself in front of a sold-out crowd!
Manfred Mann's Earth Band consists, in addition to Mann himself on keyboards, of co-founder Mick Rogers (guitar and vocals), bassist Steve Kinch, singer Robert Hart (known for Bad Company) and drummer John Lingwood.
