Leif de Leeuw Band plays The Allman Brothers Band

A tribute to The Allman Brothers band

Leif de Leeuw Band plays The Allman Brothers Band

Guitarist Leif de Leeuw and his band belong to the top of the Dutch blues scene. Leif has been influenced by greats such as Jeff Beck, David Gilmour and The Allman Brothers. Anyone who has seen a show by the Leif de Leeuw Band in recent years knows that it is not a standard blues band. During this show, Leif will pay tribute to The Allman Brothers band with an extensive line-up - two drummers, a Hammond organ and an extra singer.

Leif: "We have never been afraid to mix other styles with blues, that's what keeps it exciting." Bands such as The Allman Brothers band, The Wood Brothers and Blackberry Smoke are therefore also of considerable inspiration to the band. "The Allman Brothers band got their unique sound from mixing blues with jazz, rock and country. This is completely in line with what we think is cool." said Leif. "The Allman Brothers had a unique ability to turn a three-minute song that was already amazing into a fifteen-minute jam that remained interesting from start to finish. We also try to capture this freedom of jamming during our live shows." In addition to Leif, the band consists of Sem Jansen (vocals/guitar), Boris Oud (bass), Tim Koning (drums), Joram Bemelmans (drums) and Willem 't Hart (keys/Hammond).
