Leif de Leeuw and band present their brand new studio album this evening! Multi-award winning guitarist Leif de Leeuw and his six-man band are amongst the biggest southern jam band sensations in Europe. The band distinguishes itself with its breathtaking guitar solos, two grooving drummers and twin leads. Improvised jams make every show unique. In their own music, the band continues the tradition of bands such as Little Feat, Allman Brothers Band and Derek and the Dominos.
Leif has won various music awards from an early age. He has twice won the Sena Young Talent Guitar Award (2009 and 2013) and in 2016 he was voted best blues (rock) guitarist in the Benelux by the readers of Dutch magazine "De Gitarist". He has been nominated twice for this prize for 2017; as "Best Guitarist Benelux" and "Best Blues (rock) / country / folk guitarist". The band also won several prizes. For example, they won the Dutch Blues Challenge at the end of 2014 and were named "Best Band 2015" by the European Blues Awards in 2015. They played successfully at De Boerderij before; in support of Devon Allman (son of the legendary musician Gregg Allman) and in 2018 with the project "Leif the Leeuw Band plays The Allman Brothers Band".
