Lazuli, the band from the south of France is one of the most original bands in the genre. And we can immediately delete the word ‘genre’ because Lazuli does not stick to boundaries. Their rock, progressive rock and world music combined with poetic singing takes you into their unique world.
The band also plays with an unusual mix of instruments including marimba, horn and percussion, but the most notable instrument is the Léode, played by Claude Leonetti. Claude, paralyzed in a traffic accident, designed this instrument that looks like the Chapman Stick and sounds like a combination of electric guitar, synthesizer and musical saw, himself. All this ensures that Lazuli gives unique and enchanting performances and we are happy to have them back on our stage.
