Klone

With their new album "Unplugged" (2017), the progressive rock band Klone can truly be called France's best kept secret. The band followed the same path as their British colleagues Anathema. Klone debuted with the atmospheric doom metal album "Duplicate" in 2003. With every consecutive album the band headed increasingly towards melody and atmosphere. The clear vocals of Yann Ligner increasingly gained space and nowadays he is seen as one of the standard bearers of the contemporary progressive rock scene.
In 2015 Klone surprised the world with their prog masterpiece "Here Comes The Sun". An album that will most certainly appeal to fans of Katatonia, Sieges Even and Threshold. Klone previously acted as support of Orphaned Land and Devin Townsend. In 2016 the band played as support act for Anneke van Giersbergen with an acoustic set. It was a challenge the band particularly liked. They arranged the songs in such a way that they didn't only sound good, but even began to shine. It turned out to be a great success live. It became apparent to the band that they should not only play them, but actually should record them decently onto CD. "Unplugged" contains acoustic versions of songs from the last two albums "The Dreamer's Hideaway" and "Here Comes The Sun". The album was recorded at the Théâtre de la Coupe d'Or in Rochefort, France.
