King King

The British blues rock band King King won no less than five British Blues Awards in 2016. Frontman Alan Nimmo, famous for the Nimmo Brothers, is the driving force behind the band. King King has three studio albums to its name. Their debut album "Take My Hand" was immediately embraced by the bluesrock community. Its successors "Standing In The Shadows" (2013) and "Reaching For The Light" (2015) also received promising reviews. In October, the fourth studio album "Exile & Grace" will be released.
King King is currently one of the most highly sought after bluesbands from the British blues festival circuit. In recent years, the band has played at renowned blues festivals such as the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, Abertillery Festival, Glastonbury and Blues Peer. Alan Nimmo is blessed with a huge dose of charisma. With King King, Nimmo is surrounded by Jonny Dyke (keys) and Wayne Proctor (drums) and new bass player Zander Greenshields.
