Jaco Pastorius - Weather Report Tribute

An ode to Jaco Pastorius and Weather Report with a unique mix of musicians from the US and the Netherlands. Pastorius is one of the most influential bass guitarists ever. He was revolutionary and inimitable on jazz bass and turned the instrument into a solo instrument. In addition to his solo work, he also gained world fame through his work with Weather Report, Miles Davis, Toots Thielemans, Herbie Hancock and Joni Mitchell.
One of the best-known percussionists in the Netherlands, Jeroen de Rijk, invited former bass player and founder of jazz-fusion group The Yellowjackets Jimmy Haslip (1951) for a tribute to Jaco Pastorius and Weather Report. Especially for this occasion Tribal Tech and "Zawinul protegé" keyboard player Scott Kinsey will join from America. Besides Jeroen on percussion, one of the greatest talents in the Netherlands, Yoran Vroom, plays the drums. The musicians: Jimmy Haslip - founder of Yellowjackets, toured with Al Jarreau, Chaka Kahn, Allan Holdsworth and Jeff Lorber, among others.
