Iamthemorning + A Liquid Landscape

The Russian band Iamthemorning was previously seen at De Boerderij as support act for Gazpacho. The duo released its debut album in 2012 and was instantly noticed due to their unique combination of classical chamber music, progressive rock and Celtic music. In the meantime, Iamthemorning has become one of the new faces of the prestigious label Kscope. During this double concert, Iamthemorning will perform with a six-piece band in The Netherlands and A Liquid Landscape is also present. This Dutch band has taken major steps in recent years. Its music is reminiscent of the sound of The Pineapple Thief.
Iamthemorning's album 'Belighted' (2014) received promising reviews. With successor "Lighthouse" (2016), these remarkable musicians have definitely acquired a place at the top of the progressive rock scene. On the album, guest musicians like Gavin Harrison (Steven Wilson), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) and Mariusz Duda (Riverside) feature. An impressive list, but basically, Iamthemorning's music is dominated by Gleb Kolyadin's grand piano and the voice of the charismatic frontwoman Marjana Semkina. A Liquid Landscape is one of the standard-bearers of the Dutch prog scene. The band hails from Groningen, and is inspired by bands like Dredg, Porcupine Tree and Mutemath. Its debut album "Nightingale Express" (2012) received promising reviews and finally put the name A Liquid Landscape on the map. After their European tour with Crippled Black Phoenix, the band took to the studio together with Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief) to record their album "The Largest Fire Known To Man" (2014). A homegrown band to be proud of and they will do an acoustic performance this time!
