Hiromi Duet



Since her debut in 2003, the Japanese pianist Hiromi is an integral part of the international jazz scene. At the tender age of 17 she was performing with Chick Corea. Since then, Hiromi has developed her own style and she is widely regarded as one of the gems of the jazz scene. Hiromi is accompanied this evening by Colombian harpist Edmar Castañeda.
What makes Hiromi so interesting is that her musical approach knows no boundaries. With her creative energy and passionate play full of emotion she really knows how to hypnotize her audience. Edmar Castañeda, son of famous musician and teacher Pavelid Castañeda, has worked with many musical greats including jazz guitarist John Scofield. In 2016, during a festival, Hiromi was enchanted by the breathtaking sounds of Edmar's harp. The Japanese pianist was so impressed with his performance, she immediately considered collaborating. After they played together at The Blue Note in New York, the duo developed an intense artistic connection. A truly exciting duo was born. Come and discover their magical musical chemistry!
