Gruppo Sportivo’s Hans Vandenburg released his posthumous album "Posthumourly" in his lifetime. When asked why the record - which for a long time carried the working title "Over My Like" – has been released before its time, he answers: "Because I like to be there". On "Posthumourly", Hans Vandenburg sings about a lost love ("I Don't Know"), tribute bands ("Jimi's Dead") and aging ("When You Grow Old"). "Mr. Smile” is the summer single from the album.

Hans Vandenburg is the songwriter and driving force behind Gruppo Sportivo, The Buddy Odor Stop and Dierenpark. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Gruppo achieved great success with the albums “Ten Mistakes” and “Back To” 78 “. “Hey Girl”, “Beep Beep Love”, “Tokyo”, “Rock ‘n Roll” and “Disco Really Made It” were big hits. In 2018-2019, after years of being a ‘studio-only band’, the group played in sold out clubs and at many festivals on a tour in support of the highly acclaimed album ‘Great’ (“Gruppo’s best since ‘Back To ’78” , according to OOR, leading Dutch rock magazine).
