Doro

Doro Pesch is a living legend! On September 16th The 'German Queen of Metal' will bring her band to Cultuurpodium Boerderij (the only show in the Netherlands)! The former Warlock front woman has a dozen solo albums to her name and has been touring the world for more than three decades. Special Guests during this show are Charlotte Wessels & Timo Somers (Delain) & George Oosterhoek (Orphanage)!
Doro's rise to fame started in the eighties when she and her band Warlock released the album Burning The Witches (1983). In 1986 she was the first woman ever to front a band on the Monsters of Rock festival in England. In the same year Warlock opened for Judas Priest, soon followed by support slots with the likes of Ronnie James Dio, The Scorpions, and Motörhead. In 1990 Doro recorded her first, self-titled solo album, produced by Kiss mastermind Gene Simmons. Calling The Wild (2000) is another milestone in her career, bearing the hits songs Love Me Forever and Alone Again. Her latest album Raise Your Fist (2012) features guest performances by Motörhead's Lemmy and Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Gus G. Doro will be joined on stage by Nick Douglas (bass), Johnny Dee (drums), Bas Maas (guitars), Luca Princiotta (guitars, keyboards), and Harrison Young (keyboards).
