Crashdïet

After a radio silence of several years, Swedish sleaze rock band Crashdiet makes a true comeback. In December 2017, after the departure of singer Simon Cruz, the band announces to have found a new frontman in promising Gabriel Keyes. On New Year's Eve their new single 'We Are The Legion' was released. Influences from bands like Skid Row, Guns 'N Roses and Kiss are clearly present.
Crashdiet was founded in Stockholm in 2000 aiming at a glam metal revival. Their debut album "Rest In Sleaze" (2005) was immediately embraced by the international sleaze community. The existence of the band has seen various ups and downs. The band tours around the world at high pace and is featured on big rock festivals like Sweden Rock. In 2006 25-year-old singer Dave Lepard commits suicide, his fellow band members are in shock and the future of the band is in doubt. With the approval of the Lepard family, the remaning musicians decide to continue under the name Crashdiet to keep his memory alive. Numerous vocalists follow, the band supports Motley Crüe and Ozzy Osbourne on tour and their single 'In the Raw' reaches number 11 in the Swedish albums charts. Success seems to be neverending when their album "The Savage Playground" (2013) is nominated for a Swedish grammy. After an intense period of touring, tensions arise within the band and in 2015 frontman Simon Cruz quits. With frontman Gabriel Keyes a new Crashdiet era has arrived.
