  • Antimatter

UK rock band Antimatter was formed in 1997 by Mick Moss and Duncan Patterson, former Anathema bass player. The two of them produced three albums together: Saviour (2001), Lights Out (2003), and Planetary Confinement (2005). While the first two focussed on melodic vocals and a dark, gothic and ambient sound, the third started to shift towards a more melancholic rock sound. Shortly after the release of Planetary Confinement Patterson left the band. Mick Moss continued the project building on the sound of Planetary Confinement and released the album Leaving in Eden in 2007. Antimatter's latest album, The Judas Table (2015), got many favourable reviews. "The Judas Table", explains long-term singer/songwriter Mick Moss, ''is a concept album exploring the residual bad energy left in the psyche after falling in and out of a relationship with a toxic personality, and also examines the driving force behind betrayal, lies and manipulation.
