Anima Mundi was founded in 1996 by five friends who studied together at the conservatory school of music. The band combines symphonic rock with Celtic and traditional Cuban influences. Progressive/symphonic rock with limitless passion, dynamics and temperament.

With their third album “The Way” from 2010, the band settled itself at the top. Anima Mundi found their way to many a music fan’s heart. The album topped the progressive charts in several countries for weeks, and the band could count on the warm attention of many radio stations. In 2011, the first European tour was a fact. Their live performances were received with great enthusiasm. In 2016 the fifth studio album “I Me Myself”, also very well received by both press and public, was released. For “The Way”, “The Lamplighter” and “I Me myself”, Anima Mundi is a triple winner of the award for the best rock CD of the year, Cubadisco (Cuban Grammy), organized by the Cuban Institute of Music. In 2018, Anima Mundi will once again release new material.
