After the sold out show in 2016 ABC returns to The Netherlands! Martin Fry had several hits during the 80s like "The Look Of Love", "Poison Arrow" and "All Of My Heart". The succesful debut album "The Lexicon Of Love" was a bestseller. In 2016, ABC released its new album "The Lexicon Of Love II". The album is a sequel to the debut which was released back in 1982.
The tone of the album, thirty-four years after the release of its predecessor, is more mature but the conclusion remains the same. As in hits like “The Look Of Love”, “Poison Arrow” and “All Of My Heart” the overriding theme on “The Lexicon Of Love II” clearly is love.Martin Fry teamed up with Academy Award-winning composer Anne Dudley on the new CD, she was also responsible for the string parts on the original album in 1982. Through her arrangements she gives “The Lexicon Of Love II” that signature ABC sound. Rob Fusari (known for his work with Beyoncé and Lady Gaga), film composer Charlie Mole and Marcus Vere also contributed to the album. The production is in the hands of Gary Stevenson and Martin Fry. The video for the first single “Viva Love” is directed by Julien Temple at the Theatre Royal in Stratford East. This is the same location where ABC once shot the promotional video for the single “Poison Arrow” in 1982. Julien Temple directed the film “Mantrap” in 1983 in which ABC played a prominent role.
