The Tubes

The Tubes still are a veritable phenomenon. Formed in 1972, the band built a reputation as a notorious live act with ambitious large-scale live shows, with all sorts of bizarre theatrics.
Shows by The Tubes caused quite a stir in the late seventies and turned The Tubes into a media sensation.  Front man Fee Waybill throws on one disguise after another and plays several roles on stage, two of them being "crippled Nazi" Dr. Strangekiss and washed-out glam rocker Quay Lewd. The band have released 19 albums and had chart-topping hits with She's a Beauty and White Punks on Dope. Fee Waybill will be joined on stage by solo guitarist Roger Steen, bassist Rick Anderson, and drummer Prairie Prince, all original members of The Tubes.
