Oz Noy Trio w/ Anton Fig & Jimmy Haslip

Oz Noy Trio w/ Anton Fig & Jimmy Haslip

‘It's Jazz. It just doesn't sound like it.’ This is how Oz Noy describes his mix of jazz, funk, rock, blues and R&B. You can rightly call Oz Noy Trio a supergroup, because these top notch musicians have already more than earned their spurs. This evening Oz Noy, Anton Fig and Jimmy Haslip will be on our stage performing together.

Oz Noy is an Israeli fusion and funk guitarist. When he moved to New York, his career gained momentum and many major artists wanted to work with him, both in the studio and on stage. In addition to his collaborations, including Richard Bona, Toni Braxton and fusion greats such as Dave Weckl and Mike Stern, Oz has also released seven albums under his own name.
Bassist Jimmy Haslip, known as co-founder of fusion group Yellowjackets, played with Jaco Pastorius for some time. The left-handed bassist has also collaborated with artists such as Bruce Hornsby, Rita Coolidge, Gino and Joe Vannelli, Tommy Bolin, Allan Holdsworth, Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Donald Fagen and Anita Baker.
Drummer Anton Fig has an impressive CV. He worked with big names both in the studio and on stage. We name a few...Kiss, Bob Dylan, Peter Frampton, Paul Simon and Joe Bonamassa.
