Karmakanic & The Tangent

Jonas Reingold is first and foremost known as bass player of The Flower Kings. He is also the founder of the progressive rock band Karmakanic. This band was formed in 2002 as a side project, but by now Karmakanic has grown into a band of substance. The Tangent is led by keyboardist Andy Tillison and has known many line-ups in the course of time. This evening Tillison and Reingold together will play tracks from both Karmakanic and The Tangent.
In the vast universe, we are just a small dot. This proposition of astronomer Carl Sagan has been a source of inspiration to Jonas Reingold for writing the fifth Karmakanic album "Dot" (2016). Both Karmakanic and The Tangent create versatile prog rock with elements of jazz and fusion which harks back to the 70's. Complex compositions with guitars and keyboards of high quality. Andy Tillison can be heard on his Hammond organ on the epic song 'God, The Universe And Everything Else No One Really Cares About Part. 1'. The music has similarities with Genesis, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. This concert is a must for fans of Steven Wilson, Tim Bowness and King Crimson. The Tangent is currently working on a new album called "The Slow Rust Of Forgotten Machinery", due to be released in 2017. The lineup of these bands is as yet to be announced but will for sure include Jonas, Andy, Luke Machin and new Tangent member Marie Eve De Gaultier, known from Luke's band Maschine.
