Julian Sas + Bintangs

Dutch blues phenomenon Julian Sas is an established name in the international blues world. Sas takes his inspiration from legendary musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Johnny Winter.
Already way back in 1999 Sas and his band were headlining the legendary Fehmarn Festival, a German Woodstock equivalent dedicated to Jimi Hendrix. Another hero of Julian Sas is Irish guitar icon Rory Gallagher (1948-1995). Many times Sas was top-of-the-bill at festivals held in Gallagher's honour, and he also almost literally stepped into Rory's shoes at the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, Ireland, Rory's place of birth. On several occasions, Julian has played with Gallagher's formers band members as well. Together with drummer Rob Heijne, bass player Fotis Anagnostou and Roland Bakker on keys he puts on a great blues show, with moving ballads and heavy blues rockers, and everything in between.
