Invitation to the sound of Jerney Kaagman and Earth & Fire is a must see & hear rock concert/documentary on one of the first frontwomen of the Dutch pop world, Jerney Kaagman and her band Earth & Fire (1969-1983). Kaagman's authentic voice and the complex melodies, lyrics and arrangements of band founders Chris and Gerard Koerts, are cultural heritage and remain a source of inspiration for contemporary bands. Singer Marieke Eelman (Nilsson, Eelman) and her band will bring you live performances of the prog rock songs from the 70's. The band will be playing hits like Invitation, Seasons, Maybe Tomorrow Maybe Tonight, Storm and Thunder, Love of Life and No. 1 hits Memories and Weekend.
In addition to a sparkling rock show Invitation to the sound of Jerney Kaagman and Earth & Fire pays homage to the band and singer who will celebrate her seventieth birthday in 2017. A documentary with the original videos, images of the time, the liquid light show projections used by Earth & Fire, unpublished photographs and images of the stage outfits of style icon Jerney Kaagman. Especially for this concert Kaagman and the Koerts brothers have been interviewed. Once again they will share their musical views of Earth & Fire.
