'Voice of Rock' Glenn Hughes is the former bassist and singer of Deep Purple. No other rock musician has created such a distinctive style that combines the best elements of hard rock, soul and funk. During this show he will play songs from Deep Purple's legendary 1974 rock album Burn, along with songs from Mark III and Mark IV. Glenn's band consists of Soren Andersen (guitar), Ash Sheehan (drums) and Bob Fridzema (keyboards).

In 1973, Hughes joined Deep Purple. In addition to Glenn, the line-up of the legendary hard rock band consisted of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord, drummer Ian Paice and singer David Coverdale, also known as Mark III. Burn is Deep Purple's 8th studio album and the first from the Mark III line up. With the addition of Coverdale and Hughes, Purple's hard rock sound became more boogie-oriented, with elements of soul and funk, which can be heard on this album and the album that followed, Stormbringer.
