40th Anniversary tour of The Tubes

On July 29th 2015 American shock rock band The Tubes will visit Cultuurpodium Boerderij to celebrate their 40th Anniversary (the only show in The Netherlands). The Tubes still are a veritable phenomenon.

Formed in 1972, the band built a reputation as a notorious live act with ambitious large-scale live shows, with all sorts of bizarre theatrics. Front man Fee Waybill throws on one disguise after another and plays several roles on stage, two of them being “crippled Nazi” Dr. Strangekiss and washed-out glam rocker Quay Lewd. Shows by The Tubes caused quite a stir in the late seventies and turned The Tubes into a media sensation. The band have released 19 albums and had chart-topping hits with She’s a Beauty and White Punks on Dope.Fee Waybill will be joined on stage by solo guitarist Roger Steen, bassist Rick Anderson, and drummer Prairie Prince, all original members of The Tubes. In 2012 The Tubes put on a fantastic show at a virtually sold-out Cultuurpodium Boerderij, the last show in The Netherlands to date. Now, three years later, they are back. Don’t miss this opportunity! More information and tickets!
